Welcome to the Glass Haus!
We are a collective of glass artists committed to quality craftsmanship, presentation, and service. We started with a roster of three well-known glass artists from Germany, Switzerland, and The Czech Republic who found particular success through The Glass Haus retail stores. The original collective soon grew to include numerous artists from The United States and Canada. Retail locations nationwide followed including a store in Chicago’s exclusive Water Tower Place along with predominant placement in successful catalogues such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Wind and Weather, and Sundance.
Continuing one of the world’s great artistic traditions, we feel that we are living the new chapter of the millennia’s-old techniques as we blow the molten glass on the workbench, fire it in the smoldering glory hole, and finally cool it into the final form. We strive to create original works that are artisanal, provocative, streamlined, and narrative. From chickens on snowboards, jellyfish, and zeppelins fashioned in glass to our more traditional creations, we provide exclusive handmade ornaments for your holidays that dive deeper into the experience of artistry and personal expression.
Our new online retail experience includes recently created lines as well as our most popular staples individually wrapped with the artist’s biographical information and shipped straight to you. Our customers are discerning and particular aficionados of handmade products and we endeavor year after year to create unique, one-of-a-kind glass art. At a time when exclusively handmade products are harder and harder to find, we make it easy!
